Tef Kaluminoti

Humble beginnings have proven to bring forth brighter days for Hip-Hop Mogul, Tef Kaluminoti. Born Bakeeba Ruffin, this Rocky Mount, North Carolinian mastermind continues to lyrically elbow his way to the forefront of the hip hop industry. Tef draws upon his own personal life struggles-which he writes about in his fiery flows. He has been quoted as saying that "I teach everyone how to make it through my eyes and my experiences in life. I can encourage and inspire everyone to reach for more through the songs I write.” His debut album “Take It To The Masses” - Xidus Red Pill/Blue Pill primarily produced by "A-Blaze The Arkitek" for Roc City Productions, is set to drop October 2006 by way of his own label, Roc City Records.

Credits to date: Tef's signature style and personal drive have afforded him opportunities such as opening for artists such as: Jay-Z, E-40, Ginuwine, Young Joc, and Cash Money Millionaires. He is scheduled for a 6 US City Tour, and this fall, is to begin filming his first feature film, “Long Time Comin” which he wrote and produced under Roc City Films. Tef was also the only Indie Artist to appear on DJ P-Cutta’s, “Hitz the Trilogy, South Edition Mixtape Vol.7.

Tef has embraced various influences on both a personal and professional level and pays homage to Master P, Russell Simmons, Jay-Z and P Diddy on account of their knowledge and business savvy approaches to penetrate the music industry and continue success in staying on top of their game. In pursuing his music career, Tef also a music veteran, has been able to gain valuable knowledge of the music industry and with his “never say die” approach, foresight, and impressive team, Roc City Records can become the next major operated independent label.

Tef’s dream is to revive this industry to its former glory. He has the experience, expertise, drive, and talent to take this industry to the next level.

Roc City Records is currently in the process of promoting ‘Warning Shots Album-Tape Vol. 1’, featuring DJ Fat Cat and his debut album, ‘TAKE IT TO THE MASSES – XIDUS RED PILL / BLUE PILL’ scheduled for release in October 2006. While the IAC (Independent Artists Company) charted hit song “Get Down” featuring Bone Crusher off his upcoming 3rd album, which is set to drop Spring 2007, ‘Rap Mogul’ is tearing up the independent artists charts and in riotous demand with record pools from Hawaii to Africa. Tef has collaborations ready to release with artists such as T-Boz of TLC and Jive recording artist Raheem Devaughn. Roc City is also developing new artists to soon follow Tef such as; our own queen of hop hip and R&B and first lady of Roc City Records, J’Aya; hip hop teen phenom of the North Kak rearing from Rocky Mount, Young Chief. Roc City is in constant contact with some of the hottest unsigned acts in the industry. Roc City Records has already begun preparations for Tef’s sophomore album release. Tef has partnered with Get Sum Inc., featuring Bu-Tay Citrus Vodka (www.bu-tay.com) out of Newport Beach, California and teamed up with Five Four Clothing (www.fivefourclothing.com) as an official spokesperson.

Recent performances to date are: May 20th - BB Kings Blues Club, Los Angeles, CA; June 2nd-3rd - Summer Splash N Bash Music Festival, Weeki Wachee, FL; June 3rd - Club Prana, Tampa Florida; May 6th - The Vote Tours 2006 via New York Music Festival; July 26th - Club Blakes, Berkeley, CA; and the Hot 97.5FM Soul Fest 2006 in Charlotte, NC; and October 11th & 12th - Plush Night Club, Vancouver, BC with Yung Joc. Meanwhile we are promoting the ‘Warning Shots” Album-Tape series, tours, special appearances and website promotions in addition to developing and scouting new talent in all music genres.
