The program "STRENGTH IN THE STRUGGLE" is specifically designed to address a wide range of issues, concerns, and interest effecting urban communities in America and through out the World. The format for the program will involve a host, guest speakers, audience participation, live/on-site interviews, special events, documentaries, local, national, and international news plus featured stories relevant to Urban America, African Americans, and people of color. The content of the hour long show will include in-depth discussions and debates with experts, educators, community activist, political/religious leaders, legal and criminal justice professionals, union and labor officials. Featured guest from renowned institutions, organizations, and businesses in America will present documentation, reports, studies, and pertinent data regarding issues and conditions negatively impacting the lives and livelihood of African Americans and people of color. In addition, deliberations of solutions, programs, legislation, and urban initiatives designed to address the socioeconomic conditions of inner city communities will be explored and presented. The show will also provide an opportunity for the listening audience to participate in the program by call ins, e-mail, down stream, and submission of topics for discussion. The launching of the show "STRENGTH IN THE STRUGGLE" signifies true and sincere commitment to provide our listening audience with programs that are racially, culturally, politically, religiously, and sexually diversified and reflects the world and universe we share and live in as spiritual creatures. It is with honor, respect, and excitement that we offer this program and ask for your active participation and full support in strengthening the struggle wherever you might be listening from. The "STRENGTH IN THE STRUGGLE" program will be hosted by Tom Harris and Sam Graves. Both of these gentlemen have over eighty years of combined experience as community activists, organizers, union/labor experts, public/social program planners/administrators. Their extensive background in the Civil Rights Movement and involvement in issues affecting African American communities in the United States have provided them with a level of knowledge and in-depth understanding of the historical and cultural dynamics contributing to the deplorable conditions currently existing in urban America. These gentlemen will share their stories, commentaries, and solutions which will make the program informative, provocative, and highly educational from an Afro-centric perspective, so hear Tom Tell It and Sam Say It like it tis (is).
